Product Description
The SFC6 Hirschmann is a rod end featuring a housing with integral shank and a spherical plain bearing (SPB). This SPB consists of inner and outer rings without rolling elements, offering misalignment accommodation and support for radial forces in a tensile or compressive direction. It is commonly used at the end of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders and also for shaft connections.
Constructed with a steel-on-bronze sliding contact, the SPB in the SFC6 Hirschmann ensures high wear-resistance and low friction, although its load capacity may be slightly lower than that of a steel-on-steel sliding contact SPB. Regular maintenance is crucial for this bearing, including proper lubrication to reduce friction and prevent fouling and corrosion.
