Product Description
The RM8SE Rodobal is a rod end featuring a housing with integral shank and a spherical plain bearing. It is commonly used at the end of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders and for shaft connections. This bearing accommodates misalignment and supports radial forces in both tensile and compressive directions. The spherical plain bearing has a steel-on-bronze sliding contact, providing low friction and high wear-resistance, although its load capacity is slightly lower than bearings with steel-on-steel sliding contacts. Regular maintenance and proper lubrication are necessary to minimize friction and prevent fouling and corrosion.
