Product Description
The LM545810 Timken is an outer ring cup designed to be combined with a separately available cone to create a complete single-row tapered roller bearing. Its conical raceways and roller elements enable it to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction, with greater axial load capacity at larger angles. The design minimizes sliding movements, reducing component wear, but requires a minimum load for proper operation. The separable cone and cup make for easy mounting and enable adjustment of axial clearance or preload during assembly. For reliable operation, it is recommended to replace both cone and cup simultaneously from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems caused by differences in internal profiles, materials, and tolerances.
