K572 FAG

The K572 FAG is an outer ring cup designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. When combined with a separately available cone, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing. With conical raceways on the outer and inner rings and conical roller elements, these bearings effectively absorb radial and axial forces in one direction. The greater the angle between the outer ring and the bearing’s centre line, the greater its axial load capacity.

The design of tapered roller bearings prevents sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, minimizing component wear. It is important to note that a minimum load is required for proper bearing operation. The separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting and adjustment of end play or preload by moving the components axially during assembly.

For reliable operation, it is recommended to replace the cone and cup at the same time, preferably from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems caused by differences in internal bearing profiles, materials, and tolerances. Always combine the K572 FAG with a matching cone from the same manufacturer.
