Product Description
The HM88542 FAG is a single-row tapered roller bearing cone, comprising the inner ring and rollers. When paired with a separate cup (or outer ring), it forms a complete tapered roller bearing, capable of absorbing radial and axial forces in one direction.
Its geometric design minimizes sliding movements, reducing wear, and requires a minimum load for proper operation. The separable cone and cup make for easy mounting and enable axial adjustments for end play or preload during assembly.
For reliable performance, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously and to choose components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems stemming from differences in internal bearing profiles, materials, or tolerances. Always combine the HM88542 FAG with a matching cup from the same manufacturer for optimal results.
