Product Description
The HM88510 Koyo (JTEKT) is an outer ring cup designed for use with a separately available cone to form a complete single-row tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways of the outer and inner rings, along with conical roller elements, enable the bearing to effectively absorb radial and axial forces in one direction. Tapered roller bearings prevent sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, reducing wear, though a minimum load is required for optimal operation. The separable nature of the cone and cup allows for easy assembly and enables adjustment of end play or preload. To ensure reliable operation, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, and to use components from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems caused by differences in internal profiles, materials, and tolerances. Always pair the HM88510 Koyo (JTEKT) with a matching cone from the same manufacturer.
