Product Description
The HM215210 NTN is an outer ring cup designed for use with a single-row tapered roller bearing. When combined with a separately available cone, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways and roller elements enable the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces, with the axial load capacity increasing with the angle between the outer ring and the bearing’s center line. The design minimizes sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, reducing component wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, with the separable cone and cup allowing for easy mounting and adjustments to axial clearance or preload during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems.
