Product Description
The 598-A Bower is a removable cone used in a single-row tapered roller bearing. It consists of the inner ring and rollers of the bearing and, when combined with a separate cup (outer ring), forms a complete tapered roller bearing. This design allows the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction, minimizing component wear. The cone and cup can be easily mounted and allow for axial adjustment during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, from the same manufacturer to prevent compatibility issues.
