53306 FAG

The 53306 FAG is a single direction thrust ball bearing, also known as a ball thrust bearing. It consists of a shaft ring, a housing ring, and a ball and cage assembly. These open-design bearings are suitable for high rotational speeds. They can only be loaded axially in one direction, effectively locking the shaft in place. The shaft ring attaches to the shaft and rotates with it, while the slightly larger bore diameter of the housing ring allows the shaft to pass with clearance. The components can be easily mounted separately, but be cautious not to mix up the shaft and housing ring during assembly. The housing ring of the 53306 FAG has a spherical seat, allowing it to be combined with a spherical adjustment ring or pad (sold separately) to prevent misalignments.
