The 53162 NTN is a cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing, serving as the inner ring and roller assembly. When paired with a compatible cup, these components create a complete tapered roller bearing, capable of handling radial and axial forces in one direction. By preventing sliding movements, this bearing design minimizes wear and requires a minimum load for proper operation. The separable cone and cup make for easy mounting and enable axial adjustment during assembly. It’s important to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, using matching components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
