Product Description
The 51228 SKF belongs to single direction thrust ball bearings, consisting of a shaft ring, housing ring, and a ball and cage assembly. These open design bearings are suitable for high rotational speeds and can only be loaded axially in one direction, locking the shaft in place. They should not be loaded radially. As they are disassemblable, the components can be easily mounted separately. However, caution should be taken not to mix up the shaft and housing ring during assembly. The housing ring of the 51228 SKF features a flat seat, which means it cannot compensate for misalignment between the shaft and housing.
