Product Description
The 51218 FAG is a single direction thrust ball bearing, also known as a ball thrust bearing or axial deep groove ball bearing. It consists of a shaft ring, a housing ring, and a ball and cage assembly, making it suitable for high rotational speeds. This type of bearing can only be loaded axially in one direction, and the housing ring has a flat seat, which means it cannot compensate for misalignment between the shaft and housing. The bearings are disassemblable, allowing for easy mounting of components, but caution should be taken to avoid mixing up the shaft and housing rings during assembly.
