Product Description
The 42381 FAG is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When combined with a separately available cup, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing designed to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction. The geometrical qualities prevent sliding movements, minimizing wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and end play or preload can be adjusted during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s best to replace both cone and cup at the same time and use components from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems from differences in internal profiles, materials, and tolerances. Always pair the 42381 FAG with a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
