Product Description
The 397 NTN is a removable inner ring and roller cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It is designed to be used with a separately available cup to create a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways and tapered rollers allow the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction without sliding, minimizing wear. It is important to ensure proper bearing operation by maintaining a minimum load.
When mounting, the separable cone and cup can be easily assembled and adjusted for axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, using components from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems caused by differences in profiles, materials, and tolerances. Always combine the 397 NTN with a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
