Product Description
The 39585 Bower is a removable cone element for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. Paired with a separate cup, these parts form a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways and tapered rollers allow the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction, preventing component wear with minimal sliding movements. While a minimum load is necessary for proper operation, the separable cone and cup are easily mountable and provide flexibility for adjusting axial clearance or preload during assembly. To ensure reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously, and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems due to variations in internal profiles, materials, and tolerances.
