Product Description
The 29630 Bower is an outer ring cup designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. Paired with a separate cone, it creates a complete bearing. Its conical raceways and roller elements enable it to handle radial and axial forces. The greater the angle between the outer ring and the bearing’s centerline, the greater the axial load it can withstand. Its design prevents sliding and reduces wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load. The separable cone and cup make for easy assembly and adjustment of end play or preload. For reliable performance, it is advisable to replace both components at the same time, ideally from the same manufacturer to avoid potential issues with internal bearing profiles, material differences, and tolerances.
