Product Description
The 25522 NTN is a cup designed for use with a single-row tapered roller bearing. It serves as the outer ring and can be paired with a compatible cone (the cage with rolling elements) to create a complete tapered roller bearing. Featuring conical raceways and roller elements, this cup design facilitates the absorption of radial and axial forces in one direction. The greater the angle between the outer ring and the bearing’s center line, the higher the axial load capacity.
Tapered roller bearings boast geometric properties that prevent sliding between the raceways and rollers, minimizing component wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load. Because the cone and cup are separable, they can be easily mounted, allowing for adjustment of end play or preload by moving the components axially during assembly.
