Product Description
The 18790 Bower is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When combined with a separately available cup, these parts form a complete tapered roller bearing, capable of absorbing radial and axial forces in one direction. The conical raceways and tapered rollers prevent sliding movements, minimizing wear. It’s easy to mount and adjust, with the option to adjust axial clearance or preload during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s best to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, preferably from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems. Always use the 18790 Bower with a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
