Product Description
The 18520 Bower is an outer ring designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. When combined with a separately available cone, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing, able to absorb both radial and axial forces. Its conical raceways and roller elements prevent sliding and minimize wear. The cup and cone are separable, making for easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, ideally from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems.
