Product Description
The 18520 Bower is a single-row tapered roller bearing cup designed to be combined with a separately available cone to create a complete tapered roller bearing. With conical raceways and roller elements, this design allows the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction, with higher axial load capacity depending on the angle. The geometry of the bearing minimizes sliding movements, reducing wear, and ensuring reliable operation. When mounting, the separable cone and cup allow for easy assembly and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, using components from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems caused by variations in internal bearing profiles, material, and tolerances.
