Product Description
The 12051Z Hyatt is an outer ring designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing, to be used in combination with a separately available cone. This allows for the creation of a complete tapered roller bearing, with conical raceways in the inner and outer rings and conical roller elements. These bearings can handle radial and axial forces and offer high axial load capacity, depending on the angle between the outer ring and the bearing’s center line.
The design of tapered roller bearings prevents sliding movements, minimizing wear, but requires a minimum load for proper operation. The separable cone and cup make assembly and adjustment of axial clearance or preload easy. For reliable bearing operation, it is best to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and from the same manufacturer to prevent potential problems arising from differences in internal profiles, materials, and tolerances. Always pair the 12051Z Hyatt with a matching cone from the same manufacturer for optimal performance.
