Product Description
The 09074 Bower is a removable cone that forms the inner ring and rollers of a single-row tapered roller bearing. When paired with a separate cup (outer ring), it creates a complete tapered roller bearing. This design allows the bearing to handle radial and axial forces in one direction, while minimizing component wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load and the ability to adjust axial clearance and preload during assembly. To ensure reliable operation, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, ideally from the same manufacturer to prevent compatibility issues.
