Product Description
The 51108 ISB is a single direction thrust ball bearing, also known as a ball thrust bearing or axial deep groove ball bearing. It consists of a shaft ring, a housing ring, and a ball and cage assembly, suitable for high rotational speeds. This type of bearing can only accommodate axial loads in one direction, allowing for locking of the shaft in place. It features an open design and can be easily disassembled for separate mounting. However, it should be noted that the 51108 ISB cannot compensate for misalignment between the shaft and housing due to its flat seat on the housing ring.
