Product Description
The SMLCP5 Hirschmann is a rod end featuring a housing with integral shank and a spherical plain bearing. This bearing, made of an inner and outer ring without rolling elements, can accommodate misalignment and support radial forces in a tensile or compressive direction. It is commonly used at the end of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders and to connect two shafts.
Notably, the SMLCP5 Hirschmann boasts a maintenance-free spherical plain bearing with a steel-on-PTFE sliding contact. During the run-in period, PTFE particles are deposited on the opposite running surface, filling in small irregularities and creating a smooth surface, which ensures a perfect fit.
