Product Description
The 5584 Bower is an inner ring cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, designed to work in tandem with a separately available outer ring (cup) to create a complete bearing unit. Featuring conical raceways and tapered rollers, this bearing is capable of handling both radial and axial forces in one direction. Additionally, the design minimizes sliding movements, reducing component wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting and axial adjustment for end play or preload. For optimal performance, it is advised to replace both the cone and cup together and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
