Product Description
The 55187C Bower is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It consists of the inner ring and rollers and can be paired with a separately available cup to create a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways of the inner and outer rings, along with tapered rollers, allow the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces. This design minimizes component wear and allows for easy assembly with adjustable axial clearance. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, preferably from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing issues.
