Upgrade your equipment with the 55187C Bower, a removable cone that forms the inner ring and rollers of a single-row tapered roller bearing. When paired with a separate cup, this combination creates a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways and tapered rollers are designed to efficiently absorb radial and axial forces in one direction, preventing sliding movements and minimizing wear. Conveniently separable, the cone and cup enable easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance or preload during assembly. For optimal performance and to avoid potential issues, it’s recommended to replace both components at the same time and to use a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
