Product Description
The 493 Bower is an outer ring designed for use with a single-row tapered roller bearing. It can be combined with a compatible cone to create a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways and roller elements allow the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces. The separable design allows for easy installation and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For optimal performance, it’s advised to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and to use components from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems.
