Product Description
The SDM16L/SS AKN is a rod end featuring a maintenance-free spherical plain bearing with a steel-on-PTFE sliding contact. This type of rod end accommodates misalignment and supports radial forces in a tensile or compressive direction. It is commonly used at the end of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders and for connecting two shafts. During the run-in period, PTFE particles are deposited on the opposite running surface, filling in small irregularities to create a smooth surface for perfect component fit.
