LM12711 FAG

The LM12711 FAG is an outer ring cup designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. When combined with a separately available cone, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing with conical raceways and roller elements. This design allows it to absorb radial and axial forces effectively, with the axial load capacity increasing with the angle between the outer ring and the bearing’s center line. The geometry of the bearing prevents sliding movements, reducing component wear, and ensuring proper operation. It is easily mountable and allows for adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, preferably from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems caused by differences in internal bearing profiles, materials, and tolerances.
