Product Description
The 51272-MP FAG is a single direction thrust ball bearing, also known as a ball thrust bearing or axial deep groove ball bearing. It is open in design and suitable for high rotational speeds. This type of bearing can only carry axial loads in one direction and should not be loaded radially.
The bearing consists of a shaft ring, housing ring, and ball and cage assembly. The shaft ring is attached to the shaft and rotates with it, while the housing ring has a slightly larger bore diameter to allow for clearance when the shaft passes through. These components can be easily mounted separately, but caution should be taken not to mix up the shaft and housing rings during assembly. The housing ring has a flat seat design, making it unable to compensate for misalignment between the shaft and housing.
